Food
Food is also typically available throughout the
day, every day, in the bars and restaurant, though the menu
is more limited outside main mealtimes.
Whilst the menu is wide and varied, with daily
specials, the emphasis is on traditional home made dishes, freshly prepared by resident chef, John, using local produce, where possible.

Marinated chicken kebabs with a spicy peanut sauce and a Thai cucumber salad
Grilled Vegetables Salad....
Grilled courgettes, red onion, cherry tomatoes and peppers topped
with feta cheese and balsamic herb dressing served with a crusty roll

Spiced whitebait deep fried and served with a tomato, ginger and basil salsa

Garlic and sage roasted belly pork served on a stew of lentils, smoked bacon, tomato, onions and white wine
Pollock Rarebit....
Baked pollock fillet topped with cheese, stout and mustard sauce on toasted ciabatta
Filo Parcels....
Filled with butternut squash, sun dried tomatoes and pine nuts, baked then served with a spinach and garlic cream
Stuffed Pepper....
Stuffed pepper baked with courgette, baked olives and Gruyere cheese served with a light saffron cream
Steak and Ale pie....
A traditional pub favourite melt in the mouth steak braised in ale
with a short crust pastry top.
Cod in Cider and Dill Batter....
A delightful Bridge Inn variation on the classic Great British fish
and chips a light crisp cider and dill batter served with traditional
mushy peas
Smoked Bacon Chop....
Pan fried smoked bacon chop on bubble and squeak with a whole grain mustard sauce
Moroccan Lamb....
Casserole of lamb with garlic, orange, honey, apricots and almonds, served with tomato couscous

All of our ingredients are locally sourced where possible. We aim
to use the finest local ingredients. Sourcing our meat from Hammond’s
Butchers in Bainbridge, our vegetables and eggs from the Good Life in
Hawes, fresh fish delivered six times a week by Hodgsons from
Hartlepool.
